How We Met
Our most beautiful love story began at 12:01 a.m. on New Year’s Eve in Copacabana. Surrounded by 2.5 million people and out of all the possibilities on that magical night, our paths crossed and since then, we’ve been building a relationship filled with partnership and shared dreams. There’s nothing more meaningful than celebrating this love in Rio de Janeiro, the city where it all began, under the gaze of the Christ the Redeemer, now blessing the next chapter of our life together.
The Proposal
After overcoming the distance that kept us apart for so long, our love reached a new chapter. On February 16th, in New York City, a place that has always meant so much to both of us, at the top of the Edge, with the unforgettable skyline shining behind us, came the most special question of our lives. There, suspended between the sky and the skyscrapers, we said “yes” to the future and to all the dreams we are yet to build together.

FAQs
Questions and answers
DO I NEED A VISA TO TRAVEL TO BRAZIL? HOW DO I GET IT?Yes — U.S. citizens must apply for a Brazil e-Visa before traveling (effective April 10, 2025). The process is simple and fully online: create an account on the official portal, fill out the form, upload your passport scan and a 2x2” photo, pay the US$ 80.90 fee, and wait for approval. Processing usually takes a few business days (allow up to 10). Once approved, you’ll receive your e-Visa by email as a PDF — print it and bring it with your passport. The e-Visa is typically valid for up to 10 years, allows multiple entries, and lets you stay in Brazil for up to 90 days per year.
CAN I BRING A GUEST? We’re so excited to celebrate this special day surrounded by our closest family and friends. As we’re keeping it intimate, only those formally invited on your wedding invitation can be accommodated. If you have a plus one, it will be noted on your invitation and when you RSVP.
ARE KIDS WELCOME?For our special day, we’ve decided to keep our wedding adults-only, so everyone can fully relax and enjoy the evening with us. We hope you’ll take this as a chance for a special date night!
WHAT IS THE DRESS CODE?We can’t wait to see our loved ones all dressed up for our big day! Please join us in your best cocktail attire. For our Welcome Party, we would love everyone to wear light and neutral tones — think nude, beige, ivory, champagne, or other soft colors. We want to keep the atmosphere fresh, elegant, and relaxed.
DO I NEED TO BRING CASH?Brazil is extremely advanced when it comes to payments and almost everywhere accepts tap-to-pay, even for things like coconuts on the beach. That said, it’s always a good idea to have a small amount of Brazilian reais on hand, just in case. When paying, always say “débito” or “crédito” — don’t assume! If using credit, always pay in local currency.
HOW DO I GET AROUND RIO?Uber is the easiest, safest, and most affordable way to get around the city. We recommend using Uber Comfort, which often has nicer cars than Uber Black.
